Build a Backpack

Introducing

Build a Backpack is a student-led program that provides a platform for local students to get involved in our mission by giving them the supplies to fill backpacks being sent to their peers in need across the globe!

Action Plan

Investigation

Students use their strengths and passions to map their community and those abroad, identify and address the differences in educational opportunity and brainstorm ways to further our mission in bridging that gap, focused on creating meaningful service and measurable impact

Preparation

Students will then learn to apply the information they gathered during the investigation stage to plan and set up a comprehensive collaboration effort guided by our organization. They identify partners, estimate costs, create timelines, and plan to measure project impacts.

Action

Students put their plan into action as “Build a Backpack,” begins. Students move from different stations with school supplies filling backpacks to be sent to students in need. Documenting their experience to raise awareness and engage in advocacy and philanthropy.
